Study of large format lead-acid battery formation algorithm development:

  • 25 to 250 Ah class cells and modules




High speed hydrogen combustion research:

  • Designed and built multiple combustion chambers and recorded H2 combustion pressure rise and decay
  • Pressure rise time= 1.5 to 3.0 ms
  • Pressure decay time= 8 to 18 ms




Thermal Chamber testing of batteries for performance, freezing, mass loss, destructive testing.
  • Complete thermal testing from -73 ºC to +190 ºC (-100 ºF to +375 ºF). Humidity is also controllable.
  • Chamber size is large enough (1 cubic meter) to accommodate typical passenger EV battery packs.




Capacity, power, and life-cycle testing of batteries:

  • Voltages from 1 to 1000 VDC
  • Current from 1 to 500 ADC
